My new favourite show is Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. It echoes the structure of Restaurant Makeover but it's more from a cook's perspective rather than making over the restaurant decor and tweeking the menu. I'm a sucker for these "success" stories, I guess. I've seen 3 episodes so far and Ramsay (known for his venomous British tongue) plays it as sortava no-bull nice guy this time around. I see his Hell's Kitchen persona was a no go. He still swears a lot but is more considerate of people's err.. 'feelings'. One thing I love about the show is that right at the end there is a 5 minute segment where he goes back to the restaurant after a coupla months and sees how things are doing. If he's made a mark or not. I always wished they'd followed up like this on RM. Out of the 3 episodes things have changed; some for the better, some for the worse but business seems to have picked up no doubt. I also get a laugh outta pickin' up snappy British slang, like, "you smoowth bawstawd...".
Oh, I also checked out Celebrity Cooking Showdown a few days ago. It's premise is 3 celebrities train under a pro chef and go at it for 50 minutes to produce 3 dishes. One of the contestants was Cindy Margolis and I couldn't stop staring at her boobies. Like, seriously... Anyway, didn't stick around too see who won. Yawn...
Lastly, I picked up a new guitar on monday. Ibanez Artist 1982 with a cream yellow finish. Damn is it sexay...
