What? Oh, Yeah. It's 2009. I really shouldn't be taking so much time off but I think I need it so I've willed myself to bum around for the past week. Went up to Niigata last weekend to see some friends, ate crab and froze my ass off out there. I used to take the bus at least one way but since I'm such a high roller (not) and can't stand the 5 hour trip in a cramped chair, I decided to just bullet train it both ways this time. $200 bucks somewhat well spent!

Since I got back I, uh, hungout with family and had my computer fry on me. On New Year's Day of all days! I was kinda... kinda? No, I was freakin' out. I had all these lines and multi-coloured pixels run across my screen and I couldn't boot into Windows. It was pretty bad. Anyway, a quick Google search with a replacing of my video card and all was swell again. I'm no IT guy so my CPU is like a black box to me. If something goes wrong it's a matter of trial and error and luckily it was something simple this time. Kinda made me rethink not having any service plan or anything.

Work. I have a bunch of things lined up already to start me off this year so it's pretty much right back to the grind. January especially is gonna be a rough month, I think. Anyway, gotta run so I wish you the best and a good 2009!
